All audience were impressed by the great way of starting a meeting.1.1. Frank Chien (C4):My Favorite Summer Vacation (How to Say It)
Frank introduced his favorite summer vacation to the audience. During the vacation, he not just found a job as a restaurant waiter, but also joined a training course for taking care of children from orphanages, and traveling around the island by scooter. 1.2. Terence Ho (C5): How to wash head? (Your Body Speaks)
Terence explained the steps of washing a cozy and relaxing hair with massage if needed. From his interesting and vivid demo, all audience enjoyed his speech a lot.1.Sarah Chang (C8) Paradox (Get Comfortable with Visual Aids)
Sarah was really smart to deliver her C8 speech by using proper visual aids---power point. From her elaborative explaining with several impressive pictures, we know understand the meaning of the word “Paradox” is kind of contradictory or self-contradictory. Well, a word of high level.Table Topic: (Master: Dennis Lin)A shy and honest young boy, Dennis, who had five questions for we members and guests as following:1.Which do you like, meat or vegetable?
2.How do you think of being a vegetarian?
3.If you don’t eat meat whole day, what would you feel?
4.Are you a vegetarian, why or why not?
5.Have you ever eaten vegetarian food? How do you think?
Evaluation: (Master: Mark Huang)Mark was not only an experienced but also professional general evaluator, since he introduced the tree lady evaluators with awesome and proper words. Thank you, Mark! 1.1. Sophia Lin: Elegant Sophia complimented Frank on his detailed introduction and suggested him to have more rehearsals if time is available for his next speech. Her comments must be very helpful for Frank.
2.2. Tracy Yang: Tracy appreciated Terence delivery by way of demo, and she gave him some comments for improvement like checking the visual aids, the need of wireless, and the tempo of a speech.
3.3. Casey Lin: Without doubt, old ginger Casey explained the importance of taking visual aids well to the audience. She also gave Sarah’s speech a lot of compliment since Sarah is a steady and wonderful speaker all the time. And, Casey is a considerate and experienced evaluator.
Remarks: 1.Being on time is a very important first step for a meeting. So, making our regular meetings start at 7:30p.m.but not late is essential to all of us.
2.2. The offer training will be held on July 22nd from 12:30p.m. to 17:00p.m. at 道明中學。If any member is interested in joining with us to learn more, you are welcome to show up then.
