We had a great opening of the meeting as Austin announced the awesome news of Jimmy’s getting DTM and 7 guests joining us.

TM Education Program: Jimmy Shih

As a brand-new DTM, Jimmy introduced us the tracks about how to achieve the goals of ACG and ALG in words easy to understand, audience learned a lot from his presentation.

Manual Speech : (Master: Frank Chien )

It was Frank’s first time to be the master of the meeting. He may feel nervous and not that familiar with the whole procedure, but he did control the time and each session very well.

1. Judy Lai (C2):How to prevent cancer? (Organize Your Speech)

Judy delivered her C2 speech with stable tempo and introduced the ways of preventing cancer with some examples she experienced around her life, also she showed many vivid photos to impress us. Do you still remember the tips she mentioned:

1. Go to bed before 11:00p.m.

2. No smoking and less wine.

3. Take the top ten vegetables good for our health.

4. regular medical exam and exercise.

2. David Wang (C3): How to maintain health? (Get to the Point)

After Judy’s introducing the ways of keeping healthy, David still started his speech with confidence and humor. And, it was easy to remember the main ways of the tips: increase health knowledge; a good family doctor, regular exercise and balanced diet. Oh, David is definitely an old ginger.

3. Ben Lin (A11) Presenting an award (Special Occasion)

Ben was quite smart to deliver his A11 with the topic since he was also invited to present DTM award to Jimmy by our president, Austin Chien. The whole speech went not only smoothly but also naturally. We could learn some helpful skills from him.

And, we were really happy to see that members and guests shared their opinions, suggestions, questions, and life experience with each other enthusiastically during the short break time.

Evaluation: (Master: Vickie Lai)

Vickie hadn’t shown up for a month. She must know that we all miss her, so it was great to see her taking the job of being an general evaluator. Without doubt, she introduced every evaluator in the words of Vickie’s style which pleased all the audience.

1. Terence Ho: Terence complimented Judy for her wonderful C2 performance, but also had two comments for her: more eye-contact with all audience, pointing out the related position on the visual aids while mentioning some important information.

2. Jeff Chen: Jeff really appreciated David’s performance even Judy had similar topic as David’s. However, Jeff still gave David a useful comment: try not to hide behind the lectern, stand in the middle of the front to enhance the power of the speech.

3. Sophia Lin: Humble and elegant Sophia complimented Ben’s performance a lot as he spoke with much confidence in the right occasion, and it was hard to find fault on purpose. However, as Sophia said, if Ben could ask the audience to welcome Jimmy with applause, the speech would be more perfect.
