Time: 19:00P.M.~21:30p.m.

Meeting Theme: Memory

Attendant Guests (3 persons): Charles Wu, James Wu, Jarnaki

Attendant members: 11 persons

President: Austin Chien

Manual Speech : (Master: David Wang )

It was Frank’s first time to be the master of the meeting. Though he was not that familiar with the procedure, he did his best to handle with all details smoothly.

1. Vincent Chien (C4):Strandbeest (How to Say It)

From Vincent’s interesting introduction, adopting PPT as visual aids, we understood that strandbeest is actually a big toy creation by a Holland artist. When Vincent showed us how to create energy for the toy’s movements, all audience were attracted a lot. It’s pity that Vincent spent too much handling his toy and PPT demo. But, it’s also a luck for we audience cause we can appreciate his performance again very soon.

2. Austin Chien (C5): The effect of nonverbal communication (Your Body Speaks)

Austin introduced us the function and power of body movements while communicating with people speaking different languages. He also took some of his own stories and showed some pictures to help the audience have better understanding. Therefore, all members and guests had more ideas about nonverbal communication.

3. Mark Huang (C7) A disadvantage must be with a profit (Research Your Topic)

Mark always delivered his speeches with humorous way. It sounded like he was complaining his joining Toastmasters late a little bit, in fact, he explained the profits derived from the so called “disadvantage” by his own case. Which taught us that keeping hard-working and staying optimistic are essential while facing frustrating tests.

Table Topic: (Master: Judy Lai)

Judy showed a little nervous before the session, however, she performed really well with stable path when she came to the stage. And, she won the prize of best session master.

1. Frank Chien: It’s Frank’s first time of being an evaluator. He was nervous but he controlled it very well. Why? He remembered all the key points of Vincent’s speech, giving him compliment, and suggesting him for more rehearsals and time control. Goo job, Frank.

2. Charles Wu: Without doubt, Charles is a professional evaluator from KTC. He noticed Austin’s opening, confidence, stable path and preparing visual aids. He also suggested Austin to have more body movements, doing some example display and learning to have some vocal expression.
